In April 2026, four 17-year-old boys from Del Valle, Texas—Jose Rojas-Alvarado, Oscar Armando Santiago-Martinez, Angel Lemus-Perez, and Carlos Roberto Oliva-Villeda—were arrested and charged with the brutal kidnapping and torture of a former classmate. The incident allegedly occurred on February 19, 2026, when the suspects lured a fellow Del Valle High School student away under the pretense of getting pizza. According to investigators from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was taken to a detached garage on FM 969 where the group had planned the attack a week in advance.
Once inside the garage, the suspects reportedly used duct tape to bind the victim’s hands, feet, and mouth while holding a gun to his head. The victim alleged he was beaten with aluminum bats, a walking cane, and a belt, and subjected to further torture, including being burned with a heated box cutter and suffocated with a plastic bag. The attack, which was partially recorded by the suspects, was reportedly motivated by a dispute over the victim speaking to one of the suspects’ girlfriends.
All four teens have been charged with first-degree felony aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity. If convicted, they face a potential prison sentence ranging from five to 99 years, or life.
