Kevin Ouellette

At a Walmart near Oviedo, Florida, Kevin Ouellette was confronted by a family for recording a mother and her young daughters. According to court records, Ouellette initially claimed the family simply “looked cute,” but a Walmart employee alleged he admitted to recording the children specifically. Following this confrontation, Seminole County deputies took him into custody, which quickly escalated into a more serious investigation once his devices were seized.

Upon executing a search warrant for his electronics, investigators discovered a significant collection of prohibited material. This led to his being charged with 50 counts related to the possession of illegal sexual content involving minors. During his court appearance, a judge set a bond of $35,000 for each individual count, totaling $1,750,000, which ensured he remained in custody while awaiting further legal action.

The investigation into Kevin Ouellette’s phone revealed several disturbing messages on the Telegram app that authorities say pointed to a clear interest in children, including text expressing a wish that he had a younger sister:

“I wish I had a younger sister. Just a little cutie I could **** on a regular basis.”

Messages found on his phone allegedly detailed his specific “preferences” and interests in young girls aged 7-14:

“I would love to **** a girl from each age in that range.”

The Telegram logs showed his involvement in various online groups where members shared illegal content and discussed targeting minors. Beyond personal messages, his digital history included searches for material that mirrored the videos he was caught filming at the Walmart, suggesting the incident was not an isolated impulse. Detectives noted that some messages and notes on his device indicated he had premeditated or planned to record families in public settings, which helped support the 50 counts of child pornography possession and other charges.
