Mass shooting in Edmond, Oklahoma

At approximately 9:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, 2026, a mass shooting broke out during a large gathering of young adults at a campground near Arcadia Lake in Edmond, Oklahoma. Witnesses reported that the event, described on social media as a “Sunday Funday” party, descended into chaos after a fight erupted and gunfire followed. Authorities from the Edmond Police Department, Oklahoma City Police, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene at Spring Creek Park to find multiple victims scattered throughout the area.

As of Monday morning, at least 13 people have been confirmed injured and transported to regional hospitals. Emergency responders initially transported 10 victims via ambulance to metro-area facilities like Integris Health Baptist Medical Center and Integris Health Edmond Hospital, while several others arrived at emergency rooms in private vehicles. While the victims are reported to be in “various conditions,” officials have stated that there are currently no reported fatalities.

The search for suspects remains active, as no arrests have been made. Preliminary police reports indicate the shooters may have been two men wearing ski masks who fled the scene after opening fire. Investigators are currently reviewing footage from Flock license plate reader cameras and interviewing dozens of witnesses to identify those responsible. Despite the ongoing manhunt, the Edmond Police Department has stated there is no immediate ongoing threat to the general public.

A reunification center for families and friends of the attendees was established at the Walmart Supercenter on 15th Street and I-35 in Edmond. Authorities have confirmed that next-of-kin notifications for all known victims have been completed.
