Ronnell Sloan, 27, is a Milwaukee man charged in connection with a series of high-profile home invasion sexual assaults targeting elderly women in early 2026. Prosecutors allege that on May 1, 2026, Sloan broke into the residence of an 81-year-old woman and sexually assaulted her. This incident was part of a larger pattern of stranger-perpetrated elder abuse in the city that officials have described as “extremely horrifying”.
The case against Sloan emerged shortly after the arrest of another suspect, Jayden Johnson, for a similar attack on an 80-year-old woman in April. While authorities have not publicly detailed a direct link between the two men beyond the nature and timing of their crimes, both cases involved violent home invasions where the elderly victims were specifically targeted by strangers.
Sloan’s arrest has contributed to heightened awareness and community concern regarding the safety of vulnerable seniors in Milwaukee. In response to these attacks, local advocates and the Milwaukee County DHHS have increased efforts to promote home security measures and scheduled an Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15 to address the rising alarm.
