Mikayla Kloth, 27, of Okauchee, Wisconsin, has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide following the fatal stabbing of her 25-year-old boyfriend, Lukas Rosch. The incident occurred on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Kloth’s apartment in the Village of Lac La Belle. According to court documents, the dispute began when Kloth became enraged because she wanted to go out for dinner, but Rosch instead brought home chicken drumsticks to cook in an air fryer.
The confrontation escalated in the kitchen after Rosch allegedly turned off Kloth’s music, which she told investigators was “pushing her buttons.” Kloth admitted to police that she was extremely angry and “pushed the knife into his chest” while he was holding it by the blade. When authorities arrived, they found Rosch with a fatal wound to his heart; Kloth reportedly confessed on the scene, stating, “I did it.”
During her initial court appearance on Monday, April 27, prosecutors highlighted that Rosch had expressed fear for his safety just a week prior to his death. A Waukesha County court commissioner set Kloth’s cash bond at $2 million, citing the gravity of the crime. She is currently scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 29, 2026.
